Unlucky Nottingham FC suffer Aina, Danilo injuries in EPL opener Nottingham Forest faced a difficult start to their Premier League campaign as they suffered two major injury setbacks in their match against Bournemouth. Super Eagles defender Ola Aina and Brazilian midfielder Danilo both had to leave the pitch due to serious injuries. Ola Aina was substituted in the 54th minute after twisting his ankle. The medical team advised the coach to take him off after assessing the injury. Aina had been instrumental in keeping Bournemouth’s attackers at bay, and Forest was leading 1-0 at the time. Although the full extent of his injury is yet to be confirmed, initial reports suggest that it could be serious, which could affect his availability for Nigeria’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in September. Danilo, on the other hand, was forced off the field much earlier, in the 11th minute, after landing awkwardly during a challenge with Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo. The scene was concerning as the Brazilian midfielder received treatment on the pitch before being taken to the hospital with what appeared to be a broken ankle. There are fears that Danilo may be sidelined for the rest of the season. Despite these challenges, Nottingham Forest took an early lead through Chris Wood, but Bournemouth managed to equalize late in the game when Antoine Semenyo capitalized on a defensive error, denying Forest the three points. Editorial We believe that Nottingham Forest’s opening match injuries to Ola Aina and Danilo are unfortunate blows that could significantly impact the team’s performance in the early stages of the Premier League season.
